Why don't you sell things online?

We believe very strongly in personal service and the customer experience we can offer you.  Ordering clothing and shoes online can be very difficult and this is even more true for dancewear.  Our experienced staff offer a wealth of knowledge that you won’t get from a generic size chart on a website.  We also really like the idea of trying things on, feeling the fabrics, and knowing that you are getting the best fit possible.  Our customers deserve the very best!

What are your hours?

Where are you located?

Our Omaha store is conveniently located near the very center of the metro area.  You will find us in Baker Square on the southwest corner of 132nd & West Center Road.  Just look for the Chipotle on the corner and the JoAnn Fabrics store in our plaza.  View Map

Our Lincoln store is located in the southeast side of town in Edgewood Plaza at the intersection of S. 56th Street and Highway 2.  We’re at the very end of the Super Saver strip – right next to the Target! View Map

Do you have information about my studio's dress code?

Yes!  We keep studio requirements on file for as many studios as we’ve been able to gather.  We work very hard to maintain a relationship with many of the dance studios in town, ensuring that we can guide you in the right direction when making decisions on your purchases.

Do you carry things for adults?

Of course!  Dancers come in all ages, genders, shapes, and sizes.  We try very hard to meet the needs of every dancer that walks through our doors.  We love each and every customer, from 2 to 92!

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes!  Gift cards can be purchased for any amount and can be redeemed at either location.

How do I stay connected and keep up on all of your news and events?

There are a number of ways to stay connected.  We have an email newsletter that you can sign up for at the bottom of every page on our site. We are also on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram and share all kinds of information on those sites about sales, new arrivals, events, tips for dancers, and more!

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase and with original receipt.  Items must be unworn, in their original packaging, and include original box and/or tags attached.  Tights are a personal garment and may not be returned if they have been put on.  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this.

Why do I need an appointment for a pointe shoe fitting?

To ensure the best fit and a successful pointe experience, fittings should be done by a trained expert.  Only a few of our staff members have been through the extensive training and work required to fit pointe shoes.  We want to make sure one of our fitters is available to help you when you come in, which is why we require appointments.  Another reason for appointments is to ensure each student receives the necessary time required for the fitting.  We do not do pointe shoe fittings during the last 30 minutes of the day.  Your scheduled appointment ensures that you will have the fitter’s full attention and focus.

Who is Bobby?

We get asked all the time…are you Bobby?  “Bobby” is actually Bob Carlson, the original owner of Bobby’s Dancewear.  When the store opened over 50 years ago, it was decided that people may not want to shop at “Bob’s Dancewear” so they made it Bobby’s!
